We are currently hiring a Sales Manager in India.
Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to plan and execute sales activities in India
Essential Job Functions
Calling on prospective customers, providing technical expertise and product information and/or demonstrations, and quoting appropriate customer prices. Taking care of sales network development and maintenance, as well as of expanding existing accounts, focusing preliminarily on industries with color critical productions like paper manufacturing, coil coating, glass coating, plastic films and textile.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Commercial Responsibilities
- Responsible for selling the required product mix with pricing guidelines set by the business unit
- Prepare and present quotations and proposals
- Negotiate and close on orders for X-Rite Inline product and services
- Regularly report and communicate to sales management: sales forecasts, order activity, stages of negotiations, pricing levels and competitive information
- Represent the company on trade shows and on conferences with speeches and presentations.
- New business line development into the fast growing automation market.
Continuous Business Growth
- Developing short and long-term sales plans
- Identifying new market opportunities
- Developing strategies to meet sales objectives
- Preparing and launching promotional resp. corrective actions
Sales Channel Management
- Monitoring existing relationships with re-sellers and dealers
- Meeting quarterly and annual plans
- Developing and building strategic relationships within the channel
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- At least 8 : 15 years of sales experience with proven, successful track record during that time. Selling CNC machines is preferred
- Preference from Paper , dyes & chemicals & Paint Industry
- Technical degree preferable
- Strong technical background, preferably with capital equipment
- Excellent negotiating and communication skills, including public speeches, presentations, face-to-face communication
- Willing to visit production sites, which can be dirty and noisy
- Global mindset and readiness to travel extensively (50% to 70%)
- Fluent in English in spoken as well as written form
- Ability to communicate appropriately and professionally at all levels, both internally and externally
- Experience of product demonstration to customers at different levels
- Position is located in Bangalore, India
