💡 About the Role
Are you passionate about data protection, backup strategies, and storage systems?
We’re looking for a Storage & Backup Administrator (L1) who can ensure data reliability, manage backup environments, and support enterprise storage infrastructure.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
🔹 Backup Administration (Core Focus)
- Design & manage backup policies using Commvault & Veritas NetBackup
- Configure new backup setups, automation, and scheduling
- Manage snapshot-based backups and retention policies
- Troubleshoot backup failures across Linux & Windows environments
- Handle Kubernetes backup configurations
- Work with object storage integrations (S3-compatible)
- Ensure backup tools are updated and compatible with infrastructure
🔹 Storage Administration (Secondary Focus)
- Manage storage systems like HPE 3PAR & Nimble
- Handle SAN operations (zoning, LUN provisioning, troubleshooting)
- Administer Brocade SAN switches (CLI & GUI)
- Exposure to Ceph storage (block/object)
- Basic understanding of iSCSI, Fibre Channel & multipathing
✅ What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Commvault & NetBackup
- Backup configuration across Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) & Windows
- Knowledge of snapshots, scheduling, and retention policies
- Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
Good to Have:
- Experience with ServiceNow or ticketing tools
- Knowledge of Remote Monitoring/Support
- ITIL certification (preferred)
