Job Description
Role Overview
As a Senior SAP TM Consultant, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to end transportation processes. With 5 years of specialized experience, you will be responsible for translating complex logistics requirements into scalable SAP solutions, managing both Shipper and LSP (Logistics Service Provider) scenarios, and ensuring seamless integration across the digital supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Lead requirement gathering workshops and transform business needs into functional specifications for Strategic Freight Management, Planning, and Execution.
- Configuration & Customizing: Perform advanced configuration of Freight Units, Freight Orders, Freight Booking, and Planning Profiles (Optimizer settings).
- Integration: Own the integration points between TM and S/4HANA (embedded or side-by-side), specifically with EWM (Advanced SR), SD, and MM.
- Freight Settlement: Design complex Freight Settlement processes, including cost distribution, dispute management, and integration with S/4HANA Finance for accruals and invoicing.
- Carrier Collaboration: Setup and optimize the Carrier Collaboration Portal or integration with external networks (e.g., project44, Shippeo).
- Technical Liaison: Work closely with ABAP developers to define logic for Post Processing Framework (PPF), conditions (BRF+), and custom enhancements via BOPF.
Technical Skills Required
- Core TM Modules: Deep expertise in Manual Planning (Transportation Cockpit) and Automated Planning (Optimizer).
- Technical Frameworks: Strong understanding of BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework), FBI (Floorplan Manager BOPF Integration), and BRF+.
- S/4HANA Evolution: Experience with Advanced TM in S/4HANA 1909 or later (up to 2023).
- Geographical Frameworks: Knowledge of GIS integration and distance/duration
