Shelf Watch is an AI-image recognition platform that automatically checks retail shelf conditions and compliance from store images captured by field reps during store audits. Today, Shelf Watch is used by major Fortune 500 FMCG companies to track their retail in-store sales execution daily and enable FMCG organizations to make data-driven decisions that have a huge impact on their store sales. Parallel Dots is led by the alumni of IIT KGP and BITS Pilani, with its headquarters in the USA and offices across India, UK, Europe, and Mexico. Parallel Dots’ solutions are deployed in over 40 countries globally, covering over 1 million stores and processing over 10 million photos per month.

Key Responsibilities

Client-Side Development

 

  • Develop and implement user-facing features using React JS, focusing on component-driven UI development
  • Convert designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for scalability
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to generate boilerplate code and simple UI components from wireframes, reducing manual effort and increasing development efficiency
  • Ensure seamless interaction between client-side and server-side components through RESTful APIs

Server-Side Development

 

  • Design and implement server-side logic using Python, with expertise in frameworks like Flask or Fast API
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable data exchange between the client-side and server-side, ensuring data integrity and security
  • Advanced expertise in MySQL
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to generate boilerplate code and simple CRUD services, reducing manual effort and increasing development efficiency
  • Ensure scalability and high performance of server-side components

Additional Skills

 

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • Kubernetes deployment skills are recommended
  • Advanced Git knowledge is required
  • Strong Agile Scrum experience is essential
