Role Profile

- In this role, you’ll be joining our Engineering Team within Engineering Excellence & Productivity (EXP), Corporate Technology (CT) as an FullStack Developer. Our team serves as a bridge between Corporate Technology and LSEG central engineering, operations and compliance teams with the key focus of enabling our CT DevOps teams to bring new software or new features to production as quickly as possible.
- Ensuring all central requirements and changes are supported, either directly implementing the technical change required or leading a CT coordinated effort where there are multiple teams and capability dependencies are present.
- Ensuring correct tooling standards are being followed as well as automation of operational tasks.
- Supporting CT Compliance, Security Controls and Risk Management.
- Ensuring an acceptable level of IT operations performance and error risk in line with service level agreements (SLAs)
- Continuously reviewing operating metrics and data to find opportunities to improve.
Tech Profile/Essential Skills
- PPM Tools (ex: Clarity, JIRA, Asana)
- Proficiency in HTML, ReactJs, CSS and JavaScript, server-side programming languages like NodeJs, Java, Python
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI)
- Experience with front-end and back-end frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Developer Tools (ex: GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
- General understanding of Databases
- Understanding of performance testing and optimization
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing and end-to-end testing frameworks
- Ability to collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers or other stakeholders
- Previous experience of Software Development, Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, and / or Emerging Technology and Governance.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Hands-On experience of working on Windows/ Linux Servers. Cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience with front-end and back-end frameworks
- Experience with Kubernetes and other orchestration tools
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and standard methodologies
- Managing incidents, change requests, service requests and driving TRT (Technical Recovery Team) calls.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on these platforms
- Advanced skills in infrastructure as code.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of financial markets is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written.
- Ability to manage own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision.
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with a positive & pro-active attitude to work.
- Customer and service focused, with determination to meet their needs and expectations.
- Be driven and committed to the goals and objectives of the team and organization.
- Second line point of escalation in event of a major incident

- Develops, tests and maintains software applications and related programs and procedures; demonstrates creativity and innovation using available software development tools and following design requirements.
- Creates and maintains documentation to describe the system and its parts, including requirements documents, design decisions, architecture descriptions, program source code and support documentation.
- Possesses depth of technical expertise, knowledge of technologies and design, development and implementation of technologies.
- Possesses knowledge of features and facilities for integration, and communication among applications, databases and technology platforms to bring together different components and form a fully functional solution to a business problem.
- Knowledge of all stages of software development, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
- Knowledge of security principles and best practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities
- Shows ability to come up with new ideas and novel approaches to problems and establish solutions through different methods.
